Jacki Burns

Jacki is short for jack of all trades: she writes, photographs, and dabbles in graphic design. She is an army veteran from Mobile, AL and began working in journalism at Texas A&M. Since then has been published across different platforms with different mediums. Yuck! However is the place she calls home since it has given her the freedom to explore the topics she finds desirable such as political philosophy, feminism and HUMAN ideas. When she isn’t working she can be found enjoying a body of water, local music or physical art.
Zoey Frederick
Editor in Chief
Zoey is a published journalist and experienced editor from Houston, TX. She has been writing for as long as she could hold a pen and started editing professionally in 2020. She has held many positions thoroughout her time working in journalism such as writing staff, section editor, website manager, vice president and president of independent publication, now accepting her role as editor-in-chief of YUCK! She loves writing about the local music scene and finding new ways to challenge her writing team. In her spare time catch her playing guitar, taking photos or at her book club meeting. We are so excited to have her on our team of directors!
Beau Moore
Public Relations Director
Beau is a queer creative that has been involved in the BCS community since their move to Texas in 2023. They always prefer to express themself through art in many forms including creative writing, modeling, and makeup. They pride themself investigative-style journalism, and occasionally provide hair and makeup/styling for photoshoots. They recently accepted their first professional role as director of media and events for YUCK! As our public relations executive, Beau will keep you updated on all things upcoming with our mag. Outside of the magazine, Beau has been a professional cosmetologist for five years, and recently decided to enter the local music scene through DJing. Their motto for the year is to try new things, even if they're scary.
